Rebecca Hutchinson paints the beautifully ordinary moments that quietly become the stories we tell for decades. Landscapes that feel like a memory- warm. worn-in. The kind of scenes that make you smile before you even know why. Somewhere between golden light and melted zooper doopers…between ‘you’re out’ and ‘no I’m not!’ …between backyard cricket pitches with makeshift stumps and sunburnt shoulders.
I am a Riverina Artist based in Wagga Wagga, most commonly known as Bec- Rebecca if I’m in trouble- mum to four wonderfully loud boys, wife, nurse, runner and the artist usually found with paint in her hair and coffee going cold nearby. If it’s chaotic, sticky and slightly wild… it probably lives at my house - and I love it!

My work is a colourful nod to endless Aussie summers and the beauty of home. I paint feelings more than places-soft skies, nostalgic corners and those little everyday moments we never want to forget. I want my work to feel like a warm hug from the past-familiar, joyful and just a little bit cheeky.
